This panel explores the touch points within our criminal justice system where bias and comes into play and highlights the very real consequences, particularly for minority communities, of that bias. Death row Exonerees Joe Amrine and Reggie Griffin will share their powerful stories and the ways in which that bias affected their lives and families.

Tricia Bushnell is the Executive Director of the Midwest Innocence Project, where she represents individuals convicted of crimes they did not commit and a former University of Wisconsin Madison law school professor and Equal Justice Initiative of Alabama fellow. She will be joined by exonerees Joe Amrine and Reggie Griffin.
